Buttermilk Biscuits and Gravy Breakfast
It was a full Saturday. I woke up early and started decorating my cousin’s Barnyard Birthday cake, made 2 batches of cream puffs, and chocolate mousse to go with it. So… I didn’t have time to eat any breakfast or lunch. Then we drove over an hour to the party. Ugh! Traffic was definitely horrible for a Saturday evening. If you ever plan to drive to Dallas, STAY AWAY from Interstate 635.
This highway is always horrible and especially this past year since there has been nothing but one road construction after another. If you don’t know me already, you will now know… I HATE TRAFFIC, with a passion! I don’t have a huge list of “hates” but traffic is definitely on it. I have developed road rage over the years and there are no medication to cure it. Just lots and lots of prayers.
After a fun time at the party, we went home and tried to go to bed. It was so hard to sleep. It rained and rained all night. Needless to say, I woke up late and hungry. So how can I make this day better? With breakfast of course! I need something fast and hearty.
Yes, this breakfast will make up from the day before. Then I thought, what a better way to start my blog than with a good breakfast? Chris (the husband) loves breakfast. Actually, he’s the reason that I even started to like or eat breakfast. And how can I make breakfast even better? With BUTTERMILK BISCUITS and GRAVY! Awww yea.
After so many recipes, trials, and errors… I was able to come up with this recipe. It’s quick, flaky, and buttery.
